青海波 Seigai-ha, Motif de la vague

japanese_seikaiha_pattern_round_sticker-r238d070c52fa40e3b9952da15feaec58_v9waf_8byvr_324Le motif de la vague (Seikai-ha ou Seigai-ha, 青海波 bleue-mer-vagues) rappelle l’omniprésence de l’océan tout autour de l’archipel. Il etait dessiné sur les anciennes cartes chinoises pour représenter la mer. Ce motif apparait à differentes occasions, sur des elements d’architecture, des tuiles, dessine sur le sable ou encore  “incrusté” dans les teintures pour les costumes de danse de Cour (Gagaku).
